Thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday for the meet-that-never-happened! The weather/air has not been our friend this summer! Now let’s get ready for this Saturday’s meets.

1) RSVP FOR THIS COMING WEEKEND
We are so excited for our two meets this weekend! HASS swimmers will be participating in the Firecracker Meet at 8:30AM at the St. James Pool OR the Meet at Waynesboro YMCA at 1PM. Waynesboro does not have room for us to take all of our swimmers to the Waynesboro Meet, so we will take the 10 swimmers with the fastest times in each age group who are available to go. Please let us know if you can go to both meets BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, and we will let everyone know which meet they should attend! 2) 4TH OF JULY SCHEDULE
Orange and Red Morning practices and swim lessons at Mt. Lena Pool and St. James Pool will proceed as normal! Blue practice is canceled due to the fireworks preparation in Williamsport! Black practice is also canceled due to 4th of July. Blue team is encouraged to go to either St. James (8AM) or Mt. Lena (8:30AM) to practice that morning! Happy Independence Day, everyone!

3) TEEN PARTY & AWARDS PARTY
Hold the ideas! As soon as I hear back from the county, we will be scheduling our Teen Pizza/Pool party and our End-of-the-Season Awards Party! Fun!

4) TEAM PICTURE
Before the meet on July 15th, we will be taking an HASS team picture! Wear your best team suits or colors – Pictures before warm-ups so the kids are dry! More info coming soon!

5) FAMILY SPIRIT CONTEST!
We are hosting a “Show your HASS SPIRIT” contest that will end at the end of the meet on July 14th! 1) Earn 1 point for posting a picture of an HASS Swim Meet or Practice on Facebook and tagging HASS, 2) Earn 1 point for each family member wearing an HASS shirt to the swim meets…even if the shirt says “Swiming” and not “Swimming!” (Ask me at the meet if I have a free, HASS “Swiming” T Shirt for you!), 3) Earn 5 points for emailing a picture to me, or posting the picture on Facebook, of your CAR with the HASS Magnet on the back or side! Car magnets can be purchased for $5 from the coaches beginning Wednesday or at the Concession Stand!

Points will be tallied at the middle of the meet on July 14th. The winning family gets bragging rights, a free pizza, and a water or soda for each family member! The 2nd place family gets a pizza! Great chance to bond as a family unit!
